Shilpa Mehta from Rotary Club of Queen's Necklace, Mumbai. She grew up in Kolkata and did my her Schooling there. Thereafter family shifted to Mumbai and here she did her Graduation in BA and further pursued Law. After practising Law for 11 years she realised that she was not happy in this profession. She then took a brave step and switched her Career to a totally divergent field... That of being a Performing Artiste. She felt this was her true calling. She dabbled in Theatre , TV Shows , Films , Radio Jockey, Compering , Dubbing etc. The Art Field is very vast and very creative. But all through her life she has always leaned towards Philanthropic Work. She realised that alone she would not be able to bring about a change in the lives of the less- privileged. And that's where the Rotary Club stepped in. It gave her a larger platform, from where she could fulfil her need to serve humanity. She has been a Rotarian for the past about 23 years and she is extremely fortunate to be a part of this organisation and thus be in touch with a larger Community of like-minded people. There is Fellowship and Philanthropy. And now she is looking forward to myher stint as the President of the Rotary Club of Queen's Necklace Mumbai,for the Year 2024-2025.
